What does a typical month look like for the worship team?
In a normal month, we would schedule you 1-2 times based on your availability
For any Sunday you are scheduled, we have a rehearsal on the Thursday prior. Thursday rehearsals go from 6-9pm. At rehearsal, we sing/play through our planned songs to ensure we are ready for the weekend; On Sundays, we arrive at 6:30am for a soundcheck and to prepare our hearts and teams for service.
Thursday: rehearsal from 6-9pm
Sunday: sound check at 6:30am, then services
Once a month we have a worship gathering where we spend some time worshiping together and workshopping to sharpen our skills and understanding of worship.
How do I audition?
You will audition for a song we have chosen for you (see links below) that we sing in our weekend services.
Record a video of yourself playing or singing the song- ensure that we can hear you and the song by playing the track and playing/singing over the top.
This is a low-tech audition. Use your smartphone to record yourself playing or singing.
Fill out the form at the bottom of this page and upload your audition to it!
What we will be looking for:
Heart for Worship – sing or play as though you’re leading our congregation in worship
Preparation – get comfortable with the song
Accuracy – know your part as it is played/sung in the recording
Feel – match the intensity and style of the original recording, while still being you
