Sacred Threads…..Part 2

Speaker: Pastor CJ Cody

Scripture References: Romans 12:4-8; Ephesians 2:10; 1 Peter 4: 10-11

Sermon Recap:

Many people feel that life is pointless and they struggle to understand what it is all about. Others listen to the enemy and think they have nothing to contribute or consider what they have to be insignificant. Still others discount what they have when they cannot do what others do. What people fail to realize is that little is much when God is in it, and that who we are, what we do, and the means by which we do it is sacred. We are all a sacred thread or a part of God’s plan to participate in His unfolding story.

It may sometimes be hard for us to fully comprehend it, but God created every one of us with a purpose, and He has already made provisions for that purpose. What we often deem as ordinary in our lives, God has deemed as sacred. But we will never fulfill the purposes that God intended if we operate on our own in isolation because God has made us to need one another.

He has deposited gifts in each of us and He expects a withdrawal. In so doing, we are to use our gifts to serve and build up the body by impacting the lives of others. He gives different gifts to different people to use in their unique ways to complete the church. The enemy tries to get us to believe that what we have is not enough, but in reality, God has given us everything we need to be able to accomplish what He wants us to do. For we are His hands and feet – His body walking around the world to do His good works.
