Sermon Recap
God is our provider and He has given us many resources. In His provision there is always seed and bread. The seed is for us to sow and the bread is for us to devour. His promise is that when we sow and cultivate our seed, we will reap a harvest according to the level of our sowing. As we sow sparingly, we will reap a sparing harvest, and as we sow generously, we will reap a generous harvest. In that way, we will be a blessing to others and our efforts will result in praise and thanksgiving for our God. Unfortunately, some people have greedy hearts and fail to recognize the value and purpose of the seed, and end up devouring what was to be sown. But all that is given to us is not meant to be consumed. Others eat the seed and are looking for a harvest, but without the act of sowing, there will not be a harvest. Some eat the seed that is meant for their children, and others sow their seed in worldly soil and seek a harvest in the wrong places. Some may be ignorant of the process of sowing and may be waiting for a change of heart or further training. But sometimes actions need to precede the heart transformation. We should just follow God’s instructions and start sowing as a first step. Then transformation to a generous heart will follow. Pray that God will open the eyes of our heart so that we can distinguish what is to be sown and what is to be devoured, and then actively begin to sow into His kingdom.
