Our World

ONLINE MINISTRY RE-TOOLING

As we continue to provide spaces both in person and online, we are deeply aware of the continued and growing need (especially post-Covid), to re-tool our online services and offerings as we reach people who are unable to (for many reasons) join in-person services. Updating and adapting church technology, platforms and train teams will enable us to serve the needs of people in the digital age and expand the reach of the church to engage with new audiences. Seeking God’s heart for this generation, we desire to network, and grow in skill and innovation realizing that many people being equipped and discipled will not only be in the room, but they’ll also be in their homes, their cars, at work, and in the community.

GOD BEHIND BARS

Prison Ministry Operations & Network Development. Providing hope and restoration to those behind bars is an ongoing initiative and commitment. Re-entering the world of prison ministry post-Covid has been a slow tedious rebuild.  TFH has partnered with God Behind Bars to pioneer all efforts in New York State.  We are determined to push this mission forward for the sake of reaching this community with live worship and teaching, facilitating special event gatherings, help with the re-entry of incarcerated individuals back into the community as well as charting the course for other churches in our state to join the journey.

PASTOR’S NETWORK

Part of our vision has always been to support and come alongside other churches and pastors in our country and beyond. Numerous things were brought to a breaking point by COVID-19. Statistically, church leaders, their marriages, and their families are in worse shape than ever before due to the toll that ministry can take.  There are around 1,500 pastors nationwide each month who end their ministry based on newly released statistics. According to Barna Group 35% of pastors report that church pressure is impacting their families well being and of those 50% of their marriages currently end in divorce.  The good news is that we can make a difference! In this next season it is our desire extend and strengthen our support and network through building strong relationships, providing access to emotional health resources and helping local churches thrive.

HAITI

Partnering with Elevating Christian Ministries (ECM) we will continue to daily feed approx. 5,000 kids under the age of 13 for one school year, across 18 schools on the island of Ile a Vache, a forgotten island off Haiti that receives little to no government assistance.  We are proud to partner with ECM as they further develop programs across Haiti that bring dignity to people, empowering them to take care of themselves, and provide employment opportunities through local businesses (bakers and brickmakers) while supporting the local economy by purchasing local products.

LIFE CENTER & FOOD PANTRY

While we actively work to finalize and expand the relocation of our Life Center we are still committed to be a thriving expression of the love of Jesus in our city helping those in need find what they need both physically and spiritually. Hundreds of people visit each month and receive prayer, groceries, clothing, and other basic human needs Last year alone we were able to provide over 40 thousand pounds of food. This endeavor requires great generosity from our community as current operations costs around $130k per year.  For this Hope Offering we are inviting you to help raise half of the annual cost $65,000.

HOPE FESTIVAL 2023

This year we will host our seventh annual DAY OF HOPE festival through our Life Center.   A day where we are able to have proximity to our downtown community by providing health and life services, partner on service projects, provide school supplies, haircuts and a space to show up to celebrate, have fun together, and extend hope to those in our city.  This year, we will join with other churches around our city for a prayer walk on Saturday August 19 to “prepare the soil” for our Hope Festival on Saturday 26th.
