We believe that community is a matter of life and death. It is in the context of biblical community that we lead people towards the abundant life Jesus promises. It is in TFH Groups that we as a church help people grow, connect, as well as find protection and safety in this life.
Jesus Offers Abundant Life: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10
Satan Seeks to Destroy: “…be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8
The Early Church Community: “They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.” Acts 2:44-47
We continue to believe this is the model God intends for His church today. Like the first church, we believe that when people meet together in homes, the following should occur: Bible based discussions, social time, prayer together, shared meals, generosity, supporting each others needs, unity of mind, glad and sincere hearts, worshipping God together and eventually, replication.
