What is the vision for the Day of Hope?

Over 1000 TFH members will demonstrate the love of Jesus by being good neighbors and engaging in service projects in our community throughout Rochester.

When is the Day of Hope?

Saturday August 26th

Where do I go?

The Chili Campus, 715 Paul Road, Rochester NY

What time do I need to arrive?

We will start at 8:45 at the Chili campus. We will begin with registration an opening ceremony as well as instructions to start the day.

How long will the project take?

The Day of Hope will take place between 8:45am and 2:00pm.

What project will I participate in?

Projects will be assigned on the morning of The Day of Hope at the Chili Campus.

Is lunch provided?

Lunch is not provided. We suggest that you bring a bagged lunch that you can eat with your team at your work site.

What types of project will we be doing?

Cleaning, simple landscaping, painting, building, other routine maintenance jobs.

What types of locations will we be working at?

Schools, parks, recreation centers, non-profit agencies, group homes, churches, the TFH Life Center, neighborhood streets.

How do I sign up?

Register at www.tfhny.org/hope. If you do not wish to sign up online, visit Guest Central at either campus after any service this summer.

What do I wear?

Wear clothing your are comfortable working in and getting dirty. You will also need to wear close-toed shoes

What do I bring?

Energy and a great attitude.

How can I donate money?

Special “Hope Offerings” will be received each service during August. All donations will go to the various mission efforts TFH is engaged in (The Day of Hope, The Life Center, Feed My Starving Children, etc…)

Does the Day of Hope accept business partnerships?

We will accept business partnerships in the form of donations, but we will not have business sponsorships such as logos etc…

How do I get a Day of Hope shirts?

Shirts will be for sale in the bookstore and cafe at each campus as well as at the Chili Campus throughout the month of August for $10 each.

What about special needs?

If you have special needs that we can accommodate, let us know in the “notes” portion of the online registration.

Is there childcare?

No, we do not have the capacity for childcare.

Can I pick my location?

You can let us know the types of projects you are interested on the registration form, but we can’t promise a particular site.

Can I serve with friends?

On the registration form you can let us know names of people you want to serve with and we will do our best to accommodate

What if it rains?

We will serve rain or shine. If the forecast is calling for rain, remember to bring a raincoat, and pray the storm passes quickly!
