Group Leader Playbook

A Message from Our Pastors

We want to take a moment to let you know how grateful we are for your leadership at The Father’s House in the our TFH Groups. We know that it takes sacrifice, humility and a deep love for people to open up your house each week and let a bunch of people come over. However, we also know that when community is led well it has a transformative power in peoples lives.

Our mission at The Father’s House is to “Love God. Love People. Influence the World.” And the way that we do this is to “Lead people to take their next step on the spiritual journey towards becoming a fully surrendered disciple of Jesus Christ.” You are on the front lines of advancing this mission as a church and we are honored to be serving with you on this journey.

1 Peter 5:8-9 says ” Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.”

People all over Rochester experience what the enemy wants to do to them. He continually seeks to isolate us from one another. He really hates community and the strength and joy that comes from doing life with others.

God is using your leadership to overcome the barriers people face on their spiritual journeys. Thank your or your investment, commitment and love for this house and the people God has brought to The Father’s House.
